To provide food for herself and her younger sister in the siege Leningrad and to avoid getting to an orphanage like homeless children, young Tamara decided to take a job at the post office. However, to get the job, she should first prove herself: deliver five letters to five addresses, despite hunger and cold. Tamara soon realized how important this job was and how each letter could change the recipients life.
