From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Patrick Clarke (born October 26, 1965) is an Irish filmmaker and actor. A graduate of Hunter College, New York City, Clarke’s career in film began in 1994 when he took up acting studies at David Mamet's Atlantic Theatre Company. During that period he appeared in more than a dozen student and independent short films including the multiple award-winning[citation needed] The Last Actor and Fall from Grace. Inspired by New York's Independent Film Culture, Clarke formed Maiden Voyage Pictures in 1996 and wrote and produced his first feature,*Beyond the Pale (Film 1999), which was a modest commercial success in Ireland, Australia and the UK and won awards at the Houston and Arizona film festivals (2000). His performance in Beyond the Pale led to roles in The Magnificent Ambersons (2002 film) NBC and the award winning black comedy Stay Until Tomorrow (2004 film) which was developed through the Sundance Institute. In 2004 Clarke formed i4i Productions which has completed projects including The Choice, the music video One (2008) written and performed by Greg Pearl, John Illsley and Paul Brady, the feature-length documentary, The Extra Mile (2007) and the period feature thriller *Anton (2008), which was nominated for three Irish Film & Television Awards.
