Yousef Fahmy is an Egyptian actor, writer, and aspiring director based in Cairo. He began his acting journey at the age of seven, training at the Helen O' Grady Drama Academy for three years before pursuing formal studies in theater and film at the American University in Cairo. Youssef also studied abroad for a semester at Bard College, New York, where he worked on a Japanese Noh play, contributing as an actor and a musician. During his time at Bard, he also directed his first-ever film. Over the years, Youssef has appeared in eight theatrical productions, including his notable performance as Haemon alongside Mayan El Sayed in an Arabic adaptation of Antigone.
